The inspiration for this set of shoe charms stems from photography enthusiasts’ dual obsessions: “capturing moments” and “exploring the unknown.” The designer merges the mechanical aesthetics of vintage cameras, the timeless texture of film, and the free-spirited essence of outdoor camping:

From the vintage rangefinder camera (01) to the professional SLR (12), they epitomize the evolution of photography equipment—from “nostalgic niche” to “professional expression.” Each camera design (replicates) the distinct features of classic models, retaining their iconic charm.
The film canister (05) and polaroid (03) contrast “instant imagery” with “time-honed depth,” embodying photographers’ pursuit of “eternity in a fleeting moment.”
The camping tents (09, 10) visualize “outdoor photography adventures”—many stunning shots are born from the first rays of morning light outside a mountain tent.

"The Lens Explorer’s 'Time Shoe Charm Collection'"

In photographer Akai’s backpack, alongside his cameras, lies a “Time Shoe Charm Collection”—each charm holds the heartbeat memory of a shutter click:

The vintage green camera (01) is an old companion passed down from his grandfather. With it, he captured the sunrise of his first solo trip in college, sparking a lifelong love for “seeing the new world through an old lens.”
The polaroid (03) freezes the moment his girlfriend laughed and jumped during a seaside camping trip. Even now, the charm bears her marker pen note: “Summer 2023 – sweetness carried by the sea breeze.”
Inside the film canister (05) rests the starry sky film roll he shot on the Sichuan-Tibet Plateau. Those grainy galaxies later became the opening piece of his solo photography exhibition.
The tent (10) was his “mobile darkroom” in the uninhabited Qilian Mountains. That night, wrapped in a sleeping bag, he developed film inside the tent, with wolf howls outside becoming the soundtrack to his work…
